Karina is a lovely example of the Nigerian Dwarf breed in Australia. She is elegant, with wonderful depth, width and blending. She has a well attached and productive udder that is lovely to milk. Her nature is sweet, calm and composed, making her beautiful to handle in every way.

Karina has had an impressive show career with multiple Best in Show, Reserve Best in Show and Best Udder results with AGB. She has also won a Best Exhibit, a couple of Reserve Champion Senior Does, multiple 1sts in Type and 24-hour production classes and many Champion Nigerian Dwarf awards at DGSA shows. She was honoured with an Australian Champion title with AGB in early 2024 and subsequently, Runner-Up State Champion Nigerian Dwarf for the 23/24 Show season with AGB. Considering she started her career in earnest at 3 years old and missed the first half of 2 show seasons due to the timing of when she kidded, we cannot be prouder of what she has achieved. 

In 2024 she earned her *Q* milk award with DGSA with a wonderful milk test result of 1.95kg, 6.19% butterfat at 39 days into her 4th lactation. 

Currently Karina has 8 daughters in studs across Eastern Australia, with 2 of our very own here at Thelina. With her grandkids in studs across Australia, her genetics are certain to have a significant impact on the development of the Nigerian Dwarf in Australia. We cannot thank Michael and Ulrike Garwood of First Fleet Dairy Goats enough for trusting us with Karina. We feel very privileged to be her caretakers and hope that we can continue to promote her and her offspring here at Thelina.
