Katia is a petite doe with her dam Karina’s beautiful head, lovely front end and beautiful width in her escutcheon. She demonstrates good body capacity for her age and was well received by the judges in early 2023. She has the sweetest temperament just like her dam, always a delight to work with.

In summer 2023 Katia kidded a single doe kid and freshened with a beautiful, well attached udder. Despite only having a single doe kid she proved to be quite productive for a first freshener, earning her Q*2 DGSA milk award with a test result of 1.31kgs at 7.3% butterfat, 36 days into her lactation.

Katia kidded 3 beautiful triplet does by Thelina Lycan in 2024. Our first homebred X homebred kids are beautifully elegant with lovely toplines and open escutcheons. All 3 had greatly reduced white markings and no exposed pink skin, which was a wonderful result as we move towards limiting pink skin for the health and longevity of our herd in the harsh Australian sun.

Katia tested with 1.79kgs, 6.64% volume at 17 days into her 2nd lactation, with a truly beautiful udder. We are so pleased with how she has developed and have high hopes for how her daughters will contribute to our breeding program.

As a 3 year old 3rd freshener in Katia had a great show 2025/2026 season with her first Best Exhibit with DGSA, 2x Champion Nigerian Dwarf and Type & 24 Hour Production awards.

Her 2025 buck kid by Hetland Creek GL Gibson was absolutely gorgeous. It was very hard to let him go, but he is now owned by Petit Paradis Mini Goats.
